1) Choosing an appropiate topic/context/issue.

My topic is Africa.

*I know that Africa is a big and is surrounded by countries. It is a poor country.

*I learned that human beings came from Africa millions years ago.

*Africa is the second largest continent on earth. The largest country in Africa is Sudan.

*The Sahara Desert is the hotest place on earth (in Africa).

*Africa covers about a fifth of the world 's land area and has about an eight h of It's people.

*I found put that Cape Town and Pretoria are the Capital cities in Africa.

*In the east of Africa the highest mountain is Drakensberg.

Journal Writing

The gun sounded so loud and the vibrations, rung through my ear. And then the boat started to race. The two men were rowing and rowing. The one with the red and the other one was trying really hard to get to the finish line.

The wooden oars pro-pelled through the water pushing me further in front and he nearly made it, but it was a tie. The man with the red and the blue t-shirt was still in the lead. The people at the back were cheering for the both of the men. Who's going to win or crash?!

My first week in room 29

My first week in Room 29 was kind of scary and freaky. When I walked inside the classroom with my classmates, everyone was staring at us. My classmates and I saw them doing there News boards.My new teachers name is Miss Wright. She asked us to go to her, so she'd know who we were (Lucy, Grace, Amanda Lei, Lesa, Phoenix, Christian, and Tampy).

We finished doing our News board so we moved onto our spelling. I met alot of people in my table their names were James, Nigel and Gary. The first bell rang and we went outside to play. We were playing rugby with my friends it was fun.

The bell rang again to go back inside the class, I was still shy and scared. We went straight down to the floor so we would know what we were going to do. All of us even Room 29 were doing maths. That was the hardest part, but I still keep on trying. It was fun!

Introduction

Hi my name is Lesa Visesio Sae. I am 11 years old of age. In my family I have a mum a dad 5 brothers 7 sisters and of course theres me! I have dark brown eyes like melting mud. I have black hair like a stallion horse trotting around in the dark black night. My favourite food is McDonald even though it's not good for my health. When I grow up I wanna be like my teacher.
